Damian Wayne Enters DC Animation in “Batman And Son”

Batman and Son

TV Guide released a trailer earlier for the DC Animated Movie Batman and Son, which is adapting the first part of Grant Morrison’s multi-year Batman epic. More importantly, it introduced Damian Wayne, the fifth Robin, who is the son of Bruce and Talia Al Ghul.

The voice cast consists of Jason O’Mara as Batman (reprising the role from Justice League: War which is to be released February 4th.), Stuart Allen as Damian, Morena Baccarin as Talia and Thomas Gibson as Deathstroke.

Clearly, there have been some changes to the story, considering Deathstroke was not in the Morrison written and Andy Kubert drawn story. The movie also appears to be using animation-style similar to Under the Red Hood and Young Justice instead of emulating Kubert’s art style.

So, Marvel, you really need to now get ahead and do an animated adaptation of Kieron Gillen’s Journey Into Mystery with Kid Loki. That way we can have the two most awesome kids in comics on the animated screen at long last. It’s what the fans want!
