With “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” done with filming, we’re getting some looks at what we can expect to see soon. The first glimpse comes in the form of concept art, as shared by Entertainment Weekly, which features both new and familiar faces.
In addition to the usual crew – Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot (still as a tiny plant, at least for now), it looks as though Yondu may be joining up with them for at least one big explosion. Also accompanying them is Nebula, who was an antagonist in the first film, but left after being defeated near the end.
Yet there is one more character as well: Mantis, who was a key member of the Guardians in the comics. It looks as though she’ll be joining the team this time around, and will be played by Pom Klementieff.
From this bit of art alone, it looks like there’s plenty to look forward to in the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie. The roster in the comics encompassed a wide range of characters, so there’s always room for one more aboard the Milano.
