Fox studios has begun preliminary work on a Magic: The Gathering movie. X-Men: Days Of Future Past and The Fantastic Four writer Simon Kinberg has been brought on board.
Kinberg, who is also writing X-Men: Apocalypse, has been hired by Fox to develop the film of the Hasbro-owned game says that the studio has their sights set on a Harry Potter/Lord Of The Rings sized franchise.
The game was originally released by Wizards Of The Coast in 1993 and has spawned a long line of successful novels based on the lore of the game.
