Pokemon Announces 9th Generation Games

Pokemon celebrates its 26th anniversary today, and with it comes new announcements. The ninth generation of Pokemon games were revealed, and it’s a return to colors with Scarlet and Violet versions.

The trailer shows us a little of what’s to come, including the three new starter Pokemon and a look at the graphics.

On perhaps the most exciting note, Scarlet and Violet will be a “seamless open world game,” more akin to “Pokemon Legends: Arceus” in its world and exploration than the previous games’ more linear design, wherein all sorts of broken bridges prevent players from proceeding to the next town until they accomplish whatever in-game goals they need to meet first.

“Pokemon Scarlet and Violet” are due for a November 2022 release.

  • A new updated for “Legends: Arceus” adds new missions, a new Eternal Battle REverie, and other smaller updates to gameplay.
  • “Legends: Arceus” players can receive 30 Ultra Balls, Gigaton Balls, and Jet Balls with the Mystery Gift code ARCEUSADVENTURE
  • Shaymin will be made available in “Brilliant Diamond” and “Shining Pearl” soon via an item called Oak’s Letter
