Wireless Charging is Getting a Universal Platform

The Power Matters Alliance (PMA) and the Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP) have signed an agreement to support each others platforms. PMA is the group behind Powermat brand chargers and can be found in some Starbucks and McDonalds locations.  Under the name Rezence, A4WP has put their effort behind a resonance charging method that has certification to be built in to vehicles and furniture among other places. This agreement is a huge step towards a wireless future. Laptops and tablets could easily use these technologies. I personally look forward to the products that embrace these standards.
